Fee structure


School Fees 

School fees depend on the Section and the class. The fees are adjusted by the Board of Governors on an annual basis, in accordance to the school budget which is approved at the AGM. Please find the current school fee overview in the PDF School Fees.

The school fee is due twice a year in advance.

Registration fee
Upon enrolment, a non-refundable entrance fee is due.

 

Tuition fees
Tuition fees vary according to section and grades attended. 

The tuition fees are payable bi-annually and in advance.

As a result of changes brought about by the Private Education Act 2009 deposits are currently not levied for students commencing education at GESS now.

Development fee
The Development fee is payable for each student other than those attending Parent- Child- and Toddler Groups.
An annual development levy of S$ 2,445 payable bi-annually together with the school fee invoices.
 
Membership of the German European School Association Singapore
Membership in the school's association is optional. The annual fee for individual membership is S$160.50 per year and annual fee for corporate membership is S$535.00 per year.

Fees for Additional Tuition
EAL (English as an Additonal Language) S$ 2,780.00 per year/child.
Learning Support S$ 2,780.00 per year/child.

Text books, teaching aids (incl. laptops), school excursions / class trips
The school lends most required textbooks to the students on an annual basis with all other required books being available for purchase in the School Shop. Textbooks will be handed out to the students during the first week by the Library (in Primary School through the homeroom teacher) and will be registered under the name of the student. Please note that all textbooks remain the property of the school and need to be handled with care. The laptop purchase cost and associated charges (from grade 9) as well as expenses for school excursions and class trips are charged additionally.

School bus

School fees are reviewed annually and are confirmed by 30 April each year for the next school year. Increases in fees will be communicated to all parents and will be included in invoices sent to parents.
GST: All fees (except deposit & Loan Certificate) include the current GST (Goods and Services Tax), which will be shown on the invoice separately. All invoices are payable in Singapore Dollars. Cheques should be made payable to GESS.
